- Enrollment is limited. LSE after-school program generally is held from 3:20-4:05 pm Monday through Thursday and 11:00 am-1:00 pm on Saturday. Our hope is to have enough room for all students who wish to participate in the after school programs.
- During the first week of September, we will hold club interest meetings. If your child is interested in joining a club, please have them attend as some of our clubs are on a first come, first serve basis.
- After school programs begin August 19, 2009 and will end May 14, 2010. Clubs may vary seasonally and quarterly. At the beginning of each quarter students on academic and behavioral probation will be suspended from all after school activities other than tutoring.
- Regular attendance is mandatory. Each club will set out individual attendance policies. Absence will be considered unexcused unless a written statement is provided.
- Students participating in the After-School program must sign be signed out if leaving early. All students must be picked up promptly at the end of the program each day (4:05 pm). Late pick-up may result in your child’s removal from the program.
- Participation in the After-School program is a privilege. Participating students must follow all student handbook guidelines. No disruptive, disrespectful, or other prohibited behavior will be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.
- Teachers may seek assistance from various mentors and coaches such as: engineers, professionals, college students, etc. All students are expected to respect these individuals as they respect their teachers.
- Some after school programs may have certain prerequisites for memberships. If there are more qualifying applications than availability, the program coordinator will use a placement method such as a test, contest, or lottery to determine core club members. All other applications will be placed on a wait list.
- Each after school program may have independent expectations regarding participation, commitment, and contributions. Students who do not meet the program expectations may be removed from the program.
- A student cannot enroll in more than two after school programs at a time. In case of conflicts the After School Program Coordinator is the final authority to make placement decisions.
- Any student who wants to be dropped from an after school program may not be enrolled in another program.
- Students who represent the school in competitions and are highly contributive to after school programs will be granted certificates, gift cards, discounts for interstate/international travel trips, and summer camps.
