All secondary students attended an Anti-Bullying Assembly on Wednesday, October 12th, 2011.  This was also National Stop Bullying Day.  We have noticed this growing problem at our school and we want to take a proactive approach to correcting it.  We started off the assembly by introducing the 5 types of bullying; cyber, physical, verbal, social and psychological/mental.  We then we had our own LSE teachers speak about personal stories that happened to them during Middle/High school.  The stories were very touching and sometimes difficult to hear- but the truth needed to be heard and the students really responded well.  We encouraged all of our students to take a pledge against bullying, which they will recite every Monday until the end of the year.  Please help us to create a safe and respectful environment.
