Q: Who is LSE?

Lotus School for Excellence (LSE) is a S.T.E.A.M.-oriented, K-12, Public Charter School located in Aurora, CO.

Q: What is a charter school?

Charter schools are state- or district-funded public schools, available to all students tuition-free. They are created to provide new educational choices for parents and students.

Colorado’s Charter School Act combines the fundamental aspects of public schooling with the flexibility and freedom of the private sector. “In one big sweep”, states the Colorado Department of Education, “a charter school can create a delivery system that individualizes and customizes education to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse society.”

LSE is sponsored by APS (Aurora Public Schools).
